Life changing experience

It is well said that “when in Rome, do as Romans do”. For me it’s Prague during a summer exchange program in Czech Technical University. But am I doing what Praguer do to justify this quote. Since my arrival, I am experiencing situations that leaves me bewildered and raises a question of how to take these changes during my stay. So, rather than measuring it on the basis of right or wrong I placed everything on a different scale and started enjoying the moment. This article is written to share my views and learning and nothing to do with anybody in person. With an aim of building utopia concerning monument preservation, Prague was a wise choice and soon it was triggered by an opportunity to redefine my social protocol. There are students from almost 100 different countries but none except me from India which helped in pulling up my excitement. During the orientation week, apart from countries in Europe like Spain, France, Italy and Germany, I made friends from all across the globe like United States, Turkey, Costa Rica, Canada, Taiwan, Korea and Mexico. According to me, the best part of this exchange program is an opportunity to know myriad cultural differences in a single platform and a motivation to see the energy of other International students to participate in several events like hiking, trekking and sports like skating, biking, tubing, etc. for which I had no experience before.  In Europe, students are considered to be much more responsible and mature in taking their decisions as compared to India and the responsibility is shown in their assignments, attendance and active participation. Considering all these, I started keeping a better track of who I am and what I should take in next 5 months because I do not want to miss things that I know I will not do back in India.
